If it's a DVD go HERE first
If it's a FLV (youtube) video you can either proceed to step 2, if it is already downloaded to your computer, or go to Downloader9 and follow the directions to download youtube videos.
Step 2: Downloading the Required Software
Download and install Super (free) HERE. The erightsoft website is very frustrating because the download page keeps looping so if you are having problems here is an alternative download. HERE.
Step 3: Launch Super and use the below picture as a reference to choose the right settings. If you are having trouble seeing the picture, click on it to enlarge.
Step 4: Adding videos to SuperOpen the folder your video is in. Choose your FLV file or if you have a DVD, choose the VOB file only.
Now drag and drop your video file into Super. See Below.

Step 5: Click Encode button and Make sure simple profile is selected. See Below.

Step 6: Drag and Drop your finished video to the NPower Fusion Media Player.DVD and FLV files do not need to be run through Windows Media Encoder 9. Avi videos come out choppy and slow. If you can figure out different setting in Super for Avi videos let me know.
*Drag and Drop is my recommended method for transferring videos to your player. Sometimes Windows Media Player converts them to an audio file only.

Ref. Step 6 of FLV:
I don't have the NPower yet, so I can't drag and drop. I do wish to start building a library in anticipation. What do I do?
No problem. Just put all your converted videos into a folder. That way when you do get your media player all you have to do is transfer them.
When I double-click on the converted videos, they play with realplayer...
Also, do I need to convert to 320x240?
When converting with Super in the above tutorial, check out step 3's picture. Look in the video section, under video scale size. 320x240 is selected. Just make sure you match up all the settings in Super with the settings I have.
To get Windows Media Player to open the video, right click on the video and select open with..and select WMP.
When playing the video, the colors may look funny. Ignore this. Once you transfer it to your media player, that goes away.
I have not been able to convert any flv files or dvd files that are 25+MB into wmp...it keeps showing as error....does it only convert small files?
Also, Thanks for everything! Keep up the great work! =)
You can drop the video bit rate to 384K (768K in your screen shot). The quality of the video on a 340x220 screen is still good at 384K and you cut down the file size by almost 50%. I find the kids would rather have MORE Spongebob and LESS picture quality.
I have followed the instructions as above, but when Super is almost completed with the conversion it says error. Any ideas on what the problem is?
